Newton Abbot Community Centres CIO

Newton Abbot Community Centres CIO was established in
2024 to manage the Courtenay Centre and The Buckland Centre.
The Charity replaced Newton Abbot Centre Association, which had existed in the
town since The Courtenay Centre first opened in 1968.
The CIO is responsible for the management of both community centres.
Newton Abbot Community Centres CIO is a not-for-profit organisation. Our staff and running costs are funded by rental income and through grants. Current funders include the National Lottery Community Fund.
Income generated from room rental at the community centres is reinvested in the overhead costs of running those centres.
The CIO has seven Trustees who are all volunteers. Details of the Charity can be found on the Charity Commission website here.
The CIO employs a small staff team.
